Urban Logistics Take More Planning

Moving a household in a dense city is a different job from moving one in the suburbs. Many buildings require a certificate of insurance from the mover, reservations for elevators or loading docks, and permits or reserved space for trucks. Multi-State Tax Issues

The Northeast is dense with state lines that employees cross every day, which makes tax residency and withholding unusually important. Some states, New York among them, apply rules that can tax remote or non-resident employees based on where the employer is located, so a move that looks simple on a map can create filing obligations in more than one state.
