Real Estate Specialist

This is a remote position. We are seeking a Real Estate Specialist to fill a recent vacancy on our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong real estate experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting transferees during major life transitions.

Our Real Estate Services (RES) team assists relocating employees with home sales and purchases, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience.

Responsibilities

Core Transaction Management

  • Coordinate home sale and home purchase transactions for relocating employees.
  • Monitor transaction progress and keep tasks and deadlines organized.
  • Identify potential issues early and escalate to management as needed.

Communication & Partner Coordination

  • Communicate with brokers, appraisers, inspectors, and other real estate partners to ensure smooth execution.
  • Provide transferees with market insights and relocation policy guidance.

Documentation & Case Management

  • Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and communication records in accordance with GMS standards.
  • Manage and update transferee files, broker information, and transaction-related documents.
  • Store communication history and ensure accurate data capture across all cases.

Systems & Processes

  • Use GMS’s proprietary internal system to manage cases, communicate with assigned real estate partners, and support workflow execution.
  • Coordinate with real estate partners through our GMS Real Estate Portal, following all communication and processing protocols.

Compliance & Advanced Responsibilities

  • Help ensure compliance with client policy, relocation regulations, and industry standards.
  • Handle complex or escalated real estate transactions requiring advanced expertise (development-track / potential senior-level responsibilities).

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of residential real estate, relocation, or related experience
  • Strong understanding of real estate processes and terminology
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Preferred

  • Prior relocation industry experience
  • Interest in pursuing CRP (Certified Relocation Professional)
  • Experience working in a client‑service‑driven environment
