Global Business Development Manager

GMS is seeking an experienced mobility professional ready for the next step! This candidate will function as the key relationship driver to create, cultivate, and foster stable long-term partnerships with prospective and existing international clients. This candidate will lead global sales to service initiatives by providing a consultative approach to attracting new business, successfully implementing the new business and retaining new/existing business by monitoring operational performance, ensuring GMS executes services to the overall requirements and expectations of our global client(s).

Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Work closely with Lead Generation Team for qualifying and requalifying of companies within the assigned territory.
  • Nurture prospective companies to proposal opportunities through strategic campaigns and need-based consulting.
  • Partner with internal and external team members and lead varied meetings (e.g., phone, virtual and in-person).
  • Coordinate with team members for collateral development e.g., presentation, handouts, etc.
  • Plan and facilitate webinars in conjunction with supplier partners, as appropriate.
  • Conduct relocation policy benchmarking, policy reviews, cost evaluations in pursuit of new business.
  • Coordinate proposal and security questionnaire responses, lead prospect presentations and technology demonstrations.
  • Coordinate contractual development and partner with stakeholders for execution and implementation.

Ongoing Account Management

  • Work closely with global assignment managers and functional leaders to build and implement programs and processes that meet client’s business requirements.
  • Manage the new global client implementation process from beginning to end.
  • Manage the overall relationship between GMS and assigned global client(s), as the primary interface between all functional areas.
  • Function as advisor to clients making best practice recommendations regarding policy, program, and service delivery methodologies.
  • Manage all GMS aspects of projects agreed to between GMS and client(s) for program development and process improvement.
  • Oversee the performance of GMS service quality and work closely with GMS’s VPs of Global and Domestic Service Delivery regarding any service improvements or enhancements.
  • Function as the single point of contact for any service escalation issues that require GMS management involvement and resolution.
  • Keep abreast of changing business requirements with client(s) and make recommendations on strategies and methodologies to achieve service/operational excellence.
  • Deliver and review all management reporting and global client reviews.
  • Implement and train on GMS technologies.
  • Manage contractual agreements between GMS and assigned client(s).
  • Cultivate and foster continued partnership between GMS and assigned client(s).
  • Work closely with client contacts and payables teams to ensure timely payment of service invoices, collections on past due accounts, research and answers client questions related to billing.

Experience/Education

  • 5+ years of global relocation industry experience.
  • Sales and/or account management experience.
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Certified Relocation Professional and/or Global Mobility Specialist designation.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM tracking systems.
